1 Cup of warm water
1Tablespoon of milk
2 Tablespoons of olive oil
2 Tablespoons of honey or maple syrup
2 Tablespoons of WinCo Bulk brown sugar
1 Teaspoon of WinCo Bulk sea salt
1 1/2 Cups of WinCo Bulk Whole Wheat Flour
1 1/2 Cups of WinCo Bulk White Flour
2 Teaspoons of active dry yeast
In a large bowl add the first 6 ingredients and then add the yeast and stir.
Then add both the Wheat & White Flour to the mix and knead until it is smooth, about ten minutes.
Place the dough in a olive oiled bowl turning it once so that the top of the dough is also oiled. Then cover the top with a clean damp towel and let rise is a warm place until doubled in size, usually about 45 minutes.
Then punch the dough down and knead it for about two minutes. Fold the dough into the form of a loaf and lay in the bottom of a lightly olive oiled bread pan. Cover again with a damp cloth and let rise for 30 to 40 minutes, or until the bread rise over the top of the bread pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes, a little less or a little more depending on your oven. Just make sure the top is golden brown yet not burnt.
Remove from oven and while bread is still warm, lightly butter the top to make the bread presentation Beautiful.
Yields 1 loaf.
