Layered Crouton Bread Pudding

Layered Crouton Bread Pudding recipeRecipe Submitted by: Elizabeth G.

1 1/2 cups golden raisins (bulk)
1 cup raisins (bulk)
6 eggs
4 cups milk
plain croutons (bulk) 10 cups
white sugar (bulk) 1/2 cup
brown sugar (bulk) 1/2 cup
cinnamon (bulk) to taste at least 3 tablespoons
vanilla 2 tablespoons
nutmeg (bulk) 1 tablespoon
butter 2 sticks

Recipe Instructions: Cook at 375° mix together milk, eggs, melted butter, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg, and 1/4 cup of sugars. Toss the croutons in 1/2 the mixture.

Let soak in the fridge for 1/2 hour
Toss the raisins into the croutons, and spoon into buttered pan

Cook for 20 minutes, then dump the remaining liquid into the pan. It keeps the bread pudding dryer and gives it a crunchy top layer.

Then brush with another layer of butter, cinnamon and sugar sprinkled on top. Put back in for about another 15 minutes. Its delicious!
