A: WinCo Foods is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; only closing on part of Thanksgiving, part of Christmas Eve and all of Christmas Day.

Q: How do I find specials at my local store?

A: Throughout our stores you’ll find our every day low prices marked with yellow price tags and our sale items marked with green price tags (Extra Savings). Also pay close attention to our Extra Savings and Price Shocker areas: The main aisle as you walk in (The Wall of Values), pallet displays between produce and bulk foods, and the ends of our grocery aisles. These areas are stocked with some of the best deals in town! Finally, make sure to check out the Extra Savings section of our website for in-store specials and coupons.

Q: How can I buy a WinCo gift card?

A: You can easily find WinCo gift cards at the front of our stores near the registers. These make a great gift for any occasion. Do you want to buy a gift card for a loved one but do not have local access to WinCo? Simply email a request to our Online Customer Service team and they will send you instructions on buying a gift card over the mail. Q: Can I place a large order for bulk food items or any other product in your store?

A: Yes! Simply visit the store a minimum of 3 days before you need your order; we will special order it for you, set it aside and call you once it arrives at your store. For large orders of grocery items, please visit us at the Customer Service desk located at the front of the store; for large Bulk Foods, Bakery, Pizza, Produce, Meat or Deli orders; please visit each respective department. *Since our prices are already as low as possible, we are not able to provide a price break on special orders.

Q: What do I do if I bought an item that went bad or I’m unhappy with?

A: Please save any remaining product/packaging/receipt and bring it back to the store at your earliest convenience. This will allow us to offer you a return/refund and collect information that will allow the store to determine if this is an isolated case or if it should be forwarded to corporate.

Q: Do you have electric carts available for persons who have a disability, are elderly or injured customers?

A: Yes, we want every single one of our visitors to have an enjoyable and comfortable shopping experience, that is why we are proud to provide an average of three electric carts* at each of our WinCo stores. These carts are available on a first come, first serve basis and can be found at the entrance or Customer Service areas. *Actual number of carts available may vary depending on store size, repairs, maintenance, etc. At select locations we ask that carts do not leave the store. This is so we can ensure that everyone that needs them continues to have access to them.

Q: Do you take WIC or Food Stamps as a form of payment?

A: Yes, the majority of our stores gladly welcomes WIC and EBT (Food Stamps) transactions as forms of payment. In some cases, new stores may take some time to get certified.approved by the state before being able to accept WIC. If you are visiting a recently-opened WinCo Foods store, please feel free to call Customer Service, at your local store to confirm acceptance.

A: No, this is a sanitation issue which may lead to possible contamination of product. This may also be considered Theft by Consumption or a similar crime in your area. WinCo Foods has and does consider this act as theft.

Q: Can I bring my own containers and use them when buying from the store?

A: Due to weight of the container and cross contamination issues, WinCo Foods does not approve the use of consumer-owned containers brought into the store for refilling. This policy extends to all store departments and all food products with the exception of the refilling of water containers that are returned to the store for refilling with water.

Q: How I can be added to your mailing list?

A: At WinCo Foods, one of the ways we save you money is by doing as little advertising as possible, instead taking that money to offer you lower prices. We then reserve our in-home mailings for store openings or other special occasions. When we send these special mailings to select areas, we automatically send them to residential addresses within zip codes around the participating stores. We respect all No-Spam lists and do not mail to P.O. Boxes or business addresses. Thank you.

Q: What is your coupon policy?

A: WinCo Foods gladly accepts manufacturers’ coupons where all the following apply:

  1. The coupon has a valid barcode that can be scanned into our system,
  2. The item is in stock,
  3. Restrictions and requirements listed on the coupon are met. This includes but is not limited to: quantities (minimum required and maximum allowed), sizes, brand names, product variety, expiration dates, and store location.
  4. The coupon(s) is not a result of coupon “stacking,” “doubling,” etc. (*1* coupon per item limit)

*WinCo Foods reserves the right to limit quantities and/or deny any coupon at any time.
WinCo Foods Coupon Policy

  • We do not double or triple coupons; WinCo has a one(1) coupon per item limit. If a coupon has been used with an item, no other coupon may be used with that item and no other item may benefit from that coupon
  • WinCo Foods does not accept competitor’s coupons
  • All coupons must scan properly
  • Coupons must be presented along with the item purchased
  • No cash back for coupons with a higher value than the item’s purchase price
  • No mass-cut coupons
  • No photocopied or visibly altered coupons
  • Customer is responsible for all sales tax
  • Coupons cannot be purchased, sold or transferred
  • WinCo does not accept internet coupons that have the following conditions:

Q: Do you accept internet coupons?

A: WinCo Foods will accept internet coupons, so long as they have a bar code that can be scanned into our system. Internet coupons must also meet all of the above requirements and may be subject to an extra level of scrutiny at the registers with the goal of verifying their legitimacy.

WinCo does not accept internet coupons that have the following conditions:

  • Free product without a required purchase
  • A redemption value exceeding $5.00

Q: How should I print my coupons for best results?

A: For best results please print in color and use the highest/photo setting on your printer. Please be aware that all coupons must scan in order for your local store to accept them. We recommend that you please allow ink to fully dry and if possible not handle coupon around the barcode(s). Smeared ink or folded barcodes may result in a coupon not scanning and being rejected. Black and White coupons may give the impression of photocopied coupons, therefore we recommend printing in color. *WinCo Foods reserves the right to limit quantities and/or deny any coupon at any time.

Q: What does mass-cut coupons mean?

A: The term mass-cut refers to the act of taking a large amount of coupon inserts or printed pages, stacking them together and cutting them at once, usually with a paper cutter. Coupon clearing houses may not and usually do not redeem a retailer for any coupons deemed to be mass-cut, this is because it is a characteristic of most coupons obtained through coupon clipping services. Deeming a set of coupons to be mass-cut is up to each store’s discretion.

Q: Can I use a check to pay for my purchase?

A: WinCo Foods gladly accepts personal checks for the purchase of merchandise upon the condition that if your check is returned unpaid, you agree that the merchant may automatically debit your checking account for the amount of the check, plus $30 or the maximum returned check fee(s) permitted by local state law. Payment by check constitutes agreement to these terms.

Q: What are the requirements to write or cash a check at WinCo Foods?

A: Checks are accepted only when presented with a valid state driver’s license with picture ID and a corresponding address that matches the address on your check, or state ID card with a corresponding address. Military ID, Valid Passport Card, or Native American ID also accepted when presented with an additional valid form of identification. Checks must have your address and phone number on it. The address must be preprinted on the check and must be within the local trading area.

Q: Can I cash a payroll check at WinCo Foods?

A: Payroll checks are limited to a maximum encashment of $1,000 per person. WinCo Foods will accept up to two payroll checks within a seven day period.

A $5 token will be charged on the encashment of payroll checks $500 and below, and a $10 token will be charged on the encashment of payroll checks exceeding $500 up to $1,000. The redemption of the $5 token will be allowed on purchases of $25 or more, and the $10 token for purchases of $50 or more.

A: At WinCo Foods, each of our stores is given the freedom to adjust their prices to better serve each community we call home. This is done by constantly scouting area stores, then lowering our prices if needed or resetting them after a certain time. Q: How can I find out about WinCo’s corporate donation policies?

A: WinCo Foods donates to fundraisers for state-accredited schools in the communities of our retail store locations. All requests for donations must be made through our online donations portal for evaluation. Due to the large number of proposals received, we do not accept donation requests via any other method. Due to the volume of requests, WinCo Foods does not respond to inquiries or accept phone calls regarding eligibility or funding decisions.
