- Fresh Garbanzo Beans (look for them by the pound in your WinCo Produce Department)
Wash them, pop them out of their shell, and eat them raw - perfect for an anytime snack
Steam them, roast them, or put them in the microwave for a minute or two (add salt and your favorite seasoning).
Cook them like edamame (boil in the pod for a few minutes, drain and salt). Pop them out of the shell and enjoy.
Rinse, drain and saute with olive oil (put a lid on and cook for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally).
Mash & blend to make hummus (instead of using canned garbanzo beans).
