- 1 Corned Beef (Flat or Point Cut)
Traditional Cooking: 3 1/2 Hours Open and rinse beef, use heavy pot, cover beef with water, add spice packet. Bring covered pot to boil, turn down heat to simmer. Cook beef for least three hours Corned Beef is soft and tender. Drain and slice thinly.
Pressure Cooking: 1 Hour Open and rinse. Place corned beef on rack in pressure cooker, add 2 cups water, & spice packet. Secure lid carefully, place proper cap on vent. Bring pot to boil, reduce to maintain pressure for 1-hour. Cool before opening lid.
Oven Method: 4 Hours Pre-heat oven to 300 degrees F. Open and rinse beef, place in shallow baking dish. Add ½-inchwater. Cover pan with foil, bake for about 4 hours – check during cooking and add water if needed.
