Try this Spaghetti with Fresh Tomato Sauce Recipe

- 2 lbs fresh tomatoes, chopped
- 1/2 small sweet onion, diced
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 garlic clove, Chopped
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Pinch red chili pepper flakes
- Fresh ground pepper, to taste
- 1 lb brown rice spaghetti
Recipe Instructions:For tomato sauce:
Heat olive oil in skillet over medium heat; add garlic, onion and chopped tomatoes, sauté for 2 Minutes. Add salt, sugar, pepper, red pepper flakes, lemon juice, and sauté for 2 minutes more. Stir in half the basil leaves. Taste for seasoning.
Reduce heat to low and cover. Simmer for a few minutes until pasta is cooked.
To prepare spaghetti:
Bring 2 quarts of lightly salted water to boil in a pot. Add pasta, return to a boil, cook uncovered, stirring occasionally, for 9-10 minutes. Drain.
Toss remaining basil into sauce just before serving.
